Stadco Expands Diesel Generator Offerings with Cummins
Stadco is excited to announce that we are currently producing 42 Cummins-powered gensets. These gensets, dubbed the RPC 450, will be delivered to RJ Corman Railpower to drive 14 multi-genset locomotives. Each locomotive gets three gensets, or “pods”.
This is a unique development for Stadco, as we have typically used Deutz and Mitsubishi engines in all of our gensets. Thanks to our parent company, Stauffer Diesel, a leading East Coast distributor of diesel engines, we have limited our stock to these two brands up until now.
Cummins is a top manufacturer of diesel engines and we are excited to incorporate their products into our generators. With engine manufacturers all approaching Tier 4 compliance with different technology, the Cummins engine products allow us to expand the options we provides to our customers.
